Inner Wheel is the largest Women’s Voluntary Service Organisation in the world. Mrs. Margarette Golding, a nurse, business woman and the wife of a Manchester Rotarian, started the Inner Wheel movement in 1924.
Inner Wheel Club of Bombay Airport was started as the ladies wing of Rotary Club of Bombay Airport on 16th October 1996. Mrs. Prabha Mathur became the first President of the Club with 38 Members.
Today the Club has 121 active and committed members who work towards various social causes to give back to the society in many different ways. Being a woman’s Club, our main area of work is towards woman empowerment, education and upliftment. We also work in environmental, literacy and medical fields.
Service through friendship is the goal of Inner Wheel and our Club is a true example of the same. We meet on every third Wednesday of the month for 10 meetings in a year.
